The standard Heavy Bolter is the evolved Boltgun in Warhammer Survivors. October-demo reports pair Boltgun with Dice Cube, while the developer independently confirms the resulting weapon name. Heavy Bolter Fidelis is a different weapon associated with Morvenn Vahl and evolves into Purgator Mirabilis. The first survivor reveal and designer's PlayStation Blog post establish why the two lines must be kept separate.

Two names, two equipment lines

The ordinary Heavy Bolter belongs to the Boltgun evolution line. The word Fidelis identifies Vahl's distinct named weapon. Sharing part of a name is not evidence that the two have the same base weapon, companion or evolved result. Identify the complete equipment label before following a recipe.

The table explains identity, not numerical performance. The supplied research does not establish a universal damage value, firing rate or measured ranking for these weapons. It also does not establish that the same passive evolves both lines. A comparison built on the actual names is more reliable than merging them into one weapon entry.

How the ordinary Heavy Bolter is obtained in the demo

The October recipe report pairs Boltgun with Dice Cube. Other dated player replies describe maximizing the base weapon and collecting a boss chest while carrying the companion. This is the corroborated demo procedure, rather than a complete officially published launch recipe. The official reveal confirms the result name separately.

The Boltgun evolution walkthrough is the primary step-by-step page for that process. This page focuses on identifying Heavy Bolter and separating it from Fidelis. Use the walkthrough when the problem is equipment preparation or the chest route. Use the comparison here when a guide or video seems to be describing two different Heavy Bolters.

Brother Luca's starting weapon

The first official reveal identifies Brother Luca as starting with Boltgun. That is one announced connection between a champion and the ordinary Heavy Bolter line. It does not establish that every survivor begins with Boltgun. It also should not be treated as proof that every revealed champion is selectable immediately in the October demo.

The characters guide separates the named demo roster from the broader announced cast. Starting equipment, a selectable champion and a follower carrying an attack are different pieces of information. Check the actual weapon name in the run rather than inferring it solely from the model on screen. That is the clearest way to tell whether a Boltgun recipe applies.

Dice Cube's role in the standard line

Dice Cube is the companion named in the October Boltgun recipe reports. It is not the D6 Dice weapon. That difference matters because selecting an attack with a dice-related name does not mean the passive is equipped. The Dice Cube guide gives the distinction its own focused explanation.

The reports also do not establish a universal fixed minute or guaranteed next-chest result. Holding the companion is one condition in the reported procedure, alongside the actual base weapon and its development. A high champion level should not be substituted for a maximized Boltgun. These are separate checks when identifying why an expected evolution has not occurred.

Heavy Bolter Fidelis belongs to Morvenn Vahl

The PlayStation Blog article is written by an Auroch designer and discusses Vahl's named equipment. It identifies Heavy Bolter Fidelis evolving into Purgator Mirabilis. It also describes Paragon Missile Launcher fire in that separate line. These details distinguish Vahl's weapon from the ordinary evolved Boltgun without requiring a guessed damage comparison.

The inspected text does not publish the entire Fidelis companion recipe. Dice Cube should therefore not be copied onto that line merely because it is used with Boltgun. A named evolved result and a complete set of requirements are different levels of information. This guide publishes the supported identity without filling the missing condition with an invented passive.

Do not confuse the missile reference with Whirlwind Battery

Whirlwind Battery is another named artillery weapon in the game. Its official evolved result is Orbital Bombardment, and the October demo reports use Liquid Green Stuff as the companion. Vahl's Paragon Missile Launcher reference belongs to the Fidelis-to-Purgator-Mirabilis line instead. The presence of missiles in both discussions does not make them the same recipe.

The rocket evolution guide begins by identifying which weapon a player means. It handles the common search shorthand rocket without inventing an item called Rocket Launcher. If your equipment says Whirlwind Battery, follow that named line. If the source explicitly discusses Vahl and Fidelis, do not replace it with the ordinary Boltgun walkthrough.

Squad mechanics can change who carries an attack

The official squad explanation says weapons and champions have Keywords controlling compatibility. A weapon the current survivor cannot wield can recruit an eligible follower. This helps explain why a weapon choice may add an allied figure to the run. It is not evidence that an evolution has happened simply because another character appeared.

Followers cannot take damage or collect items according to that source. They also do not establish multiplayer or a permanent character-selection unlock. When following a weapon line, identify the attack and companion held by the run rather than using the squad's appearance as the only clue. Equipment identity remains the relevant distinction between Heavy Bolter and Heavy Bolter Fidelis.

What the available evidence can compare

The sources establish different base weapons, different evolved results and the standard line's reported demo companion. They do not provide controlled full-release benchmarks for a strongest-weapon ranking. The full Steam listing advertises 75+ weapons, which is a product-scope figure rather than a numerical stat sheet. It should not be used to invent missing attributes for these two names.

The research was checked November 8, before the announced full release. October gameplay supports the presence of the ordinary evolved Boltgun, while the official reveals establish the named lines. This is source research rather than a claim of first-hand launch testing. Use the dated evidence to identify equipment and keep performance claims separate.

Which guide should you follow?

Choose Boltgun evolution for the standard recipe sequence. Choose Dice Cube if the companion and D6 Dice are being confused. Choose rocket evolution if a missile description is making two equipment lines look similar. The broader weapons guide organizes the base attacks, passives, evolved forms and field pick-ups without merging their names.
