The full game advertises 75+ Warhammer Survivors weapons. Officially named examples include Boltgun, Astartes Chainsword, Whirlwind Axes and Nuln Oil, with developer posts also identifying Lasgun, Whirlwind Battery and D6 Dice. This page organizes the named equipment rather than inventing the rest of a complete launch inventory. The Steam listing is the source for the advertised full-game weapon count.
Four equipment categories to keep separate
A base weapon provides an attack that can be developed during a run. An evolved weapon is a different form reached through the game's combination system. Companion passives and temporary field pick-ups are separate categories again. Confusing these categories can make an otherwise accurate recipe appear not to work.
The official description confirms that weapons combine with power-ups to evolve. The pick-up explanation describes temporary field effects instead. A large explosion or screen effect does not, by itself, establish that an equipped weapon has evolved. Identify the item category before using its name in an equipment plan.
| Category | Examples identified by the research | What to distinguish |
|---|---|---|
| Base weapons | Boltgun, Lasgun, Whirlwind Battery | Equipped attacks before evolution |
| Evolved forms | Heavy Bolter, Orbital Bombardment | Results tied to particular base weapons |
| Companion passives | Dice Cube, Gauntlet, Liquid Green Stuff | Reported evolution partners |
| Temporary pick-ups | Melta-Bomb, Purple Sun | Field effects rather than recipe equipment |
Officially named weapons
The first survivor reveal identifies Boltgun with Brother Luca, Chainsword with Caedo and Lasgun with Kozlowski. It explicitly names Heavy Bolter as the evolved Boltgun. These relationships provide a reliable starting point for matching a champion's equipment with a named weapon. They are not a complete numerical stat sheet for every attack.
The April reveal adds Whirlwind Battery evolving into Orbital Bombardment and Power Fists evolving into Gauntlets of Ultramar. It also identifies D6 Dice as a weapon used across the universes. The inspected material does not publish every required passive for all signature weapons. A known result name should therefore not be expanded into a guessed full recipe.
The difference between a weapon and its passive
Dice Cube is a companion passive in the corroborated October recipes. D6 Dice is a distinct weapon in the official reveal. They are not two spellings for the same equipment. The Dice Cube page explains why unlocking or selecting one should not be treated as carrying the other.
The same principle applies to other companions in the demo table. Lasgun pairs with Gauntlet, while Whirlwind Battery and Brazier Staff both use Liquid Green Stuff in the October reports. A passive can be shared by different named combinations without becoming a universal evolution key. Use the evolutions guide to match the exact base, companion and result.
Why selected weapons can recruit allies
The official squad explanation assigns Keywords to weapons and champions. These determine whether the current survivor can wield the selected equipment. If not, an eligible ally can join as a follower to carry the attack. That is a specific loadout system rather than a failure to equip the weapon.
Followers cannot take damage or collect items according to the same explanation. Their presence therefore should not be used as evidence of another human player or a second independent pickup collector. A weapon choice can affect who appears in the squad without proving permanent character-selection access. The characters guide keeps main survivors, announced champions and followers distinct.
Lasgun levels and its evolved form
Kozlowski's Lasgun gains extra Cadian troopers as it levels. The official reveal and squad post document that behavior. October demo reports separately identify Lasgun with Gauntlet evolving into Meltagun. Those are related aspects of the same equipment line, but the extra troopers are not simply another name for the evolution.
The Lasgun guide focuses on that difference. It explains the dated companion recipe without turning base-weapon squad growth into a separate unverified condition. This matters when a player sees more allies and assumes a chest step is already complete. Read the actual weapon identity rather than judging the result only by the number of models on screen.
Heavy Bolter and Heavy Bolter Fidelis
The ordinary Heavy Bolter is the evolved Boltgun in the first official reveal. Heavy Bolter Fidelis is Morvenn Vahl's distinct named weapon in the PlayStation Blog designer article. Fidelis evolves into Purgator Mirabilis and is associated with Paragon Missile Launcher fire. These are separate lines despite sharing the words Heavy Bolter.
The Heavy Bolter page is the identity comparison, while the Boltgun page is the focused demo recipe walkthrough. Applying the Boltgun companion to Fidelis is not established by the supplied evidence. Nor should a search for a rocket automatically be mapped to Vahl's missile-related attack. Exact equipment names prevent those two common interpretation errors.
What the October evolution reports establish
The dated player recipe table identifies eleven unique combinations. The repeated demo advice is to hold the companion, maximize the base weapon and then collect a boss chest. This is a source-labelled procedure for the October demo, not a universal launch rule. Some base-to-result relationships have separate official confirmation, while companions often come from player accounts.
Older May pairing advice is not always current for the October build. Whirlwind Battery is the clearest example: later reports use Liquid Green Stuff rather than the older Tape Measure pairing. A table without a version label can hide that difference. The equipment system remains understandable, but the recipe should be matched to the build being described.
Temporary pick-ups have different consequences
The developer's pick-up explanation describes a delayed Melta-Bomb explosion and enemies that resist Blast Template instant kills. It also notes that Purple Sun can damage the player. These effects are concrete reasons to read a field item as its own decision. They should not be substituted for permanent passive equipment in a recipe.
A temporary effect can change the immediate fight without changing what is equipped. That distinction is useful when reviewing a run or trying to reproduce an evolution. Note the base weapon, companion and field effect separately instead of remembering only the biggest visual moment. The research does not establish a complete numerical ranking of those categories.
Build an equipment plan from actual names
Start with the champion and universe you selected. Identify the starting weapon, then choose a focused question: a companion, an evolved result or why a follower appeared. Follow the related page for that exact equipment line. This is more useful than filling the advertised 75+ slots with guessed names or treating all attacks as interchangeable.
This guide uses research checked November 8, 2026. It separates officially revealed equipment from corroborated demo combinations and avoids unverified damage, range or firing-rate values. The full release may have a broader inventory than the named examples here. Use the evolution table and source links for the details that the supplied material actually establishes.
